Canon 5d mark II vs Canon 5d mark III. High ISO

Finally I got an opportunity to test Canon 5d mark III. The thing that interested me most was performance in high ISO. ISO 1600 and 3200 seem usable to me in my mark II. So i just tested ISO 6400. Both images were shoot in RAW and processed in ACR with default settings. Results seem very similar:

Canon 5d mark 2 vs Canon 5d mark 3

Looks like I’ll keep my 5dmk2 🙂

N.B. The same situation with high ISO was between 5d and 5d mark II (5d mark II only had better resolution)

    Hello fellow 360Cities photographer!

I am writing several people I have found who’s work I admire. Yours included. I am interested in a small sample poll of the camera/lens combination and post processing you use.

I myself use a Canon 5D MKII and a Sigma 8mm fish eye to shoot my 360’s. I process the RAW images in Lightroom. I am always striving to get better and would appreciate knowing what you use.

    Hello Spencer!

I am mostly using 5d mark II + 16-36mm II
For most spherical panoramas I use 16-35 at 16mm.

If I need more details – at 35mm. We get:

    And 50mm f/1.4 with 5dmk2 – gives a spherical gigapixel like this:

I rarely use fisheye because of low resolution

    Software: krpano, ptgui, ps cs6

    BTW:
In case you ll be in IVRPA conference (http://www.iceland2013.org) – drop in to my gigapixel workshop there
